On January 6, a meeting of the Ministers of Energy of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was held at the Energy Ministry of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the press service of the Energy Ministry of Kyrgyzstan, during the meeting, the parties held a joint discussion on the development of a “roadmap” for the construction of the Kambarata HPP-1. In particular, it was emphasized that the implementation of the project should be fair and beneficial for all participating countries. After that, the parties signed an agreement on the “roadmap” for the implementation of the construction of Kambarata HPP-1.
The “roadmap” for implementing the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 was signed by the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalaybek Ibrayev, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov and the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov.
The expected date of commissioning of Kambarata HPP-1 will be determined after the development of the feasibility study. However, according to the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Taalaybek Ibrayev, preparations for the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 have already begun.
The delegations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan expressed their full support for the creation of a joint venture.
