Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva received Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine Riyadh al-Maliki, UzA reported. The parties considered multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Palestine, particularly in the economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres and inter-parliamentary ties.
It was noted that trade and economic cooperation is one of the essential areas. The sides highlighted the need to launch joint projects in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, industrial and textile production. The Chairperson of the Senate proposed to strengthen mutually beneficial ties between Palestine and Uzbekistan by organizing visits at various levels and exchanging experience.
An agreement was reached to continue supporting mutual initiatives and further consistent development of cooperation within the framework of international parliamentary structures and several other international organizations following the meeting.
