Experts from the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Studies have studied the export of fruit and vegetable products from the Republic of Uzbekistan from January to April 2023. During this period, the volume of exports of fruits and vegetables amounted to $256.1 million, or 359.2 thousand tons. Growth rates compared to the same period in 2022 amounted to 6.5%.
The largest share in the export of fruit and vegetable products is occupied by mung beans (13.7%), dried grapes (10.4%), dried plums (7.0%), tomatoes (6.1%), cabbage (5.1%), fresh grapes (4.3%), onions (4.3%), pomegranates (3.3%).
The main export markets for fruit and vegetable products in Uzbekistan are Russia (27.4%), Pakistan (20.6%), China (16.3%), Kazakhstan (13.9%), Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran.
