Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Huning met at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing respectively with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev who are in China to attend the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
When meeting with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Wang Huning said that Kazakhstan is where the Silk Road Economic Belt was proposed for the first time, and has an important role and influence in Belt and Road international cooperation. Over the past year, President Xi Jinping and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev successfully paid a visit to each other’s country, opening up a new Golden Three Decade of China-Kazakhstan relations. The two sides should implement well the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen interactions and exchanges through various channels and at all levels, deepen mutual learning, and accelerate the building of a China-Kazakhstan community with a shared future defined by lasting friendship, a high degree of mutual trust and sharing weal and woe, to boost the two countries’ common development and prosperity. The National Committee of the CPPCC is ready to make positive contributions to that end.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended congratulations on the complete success of the Forum. Kazakhstan will continue to actively participate in Belt and Road cooperation, and stands ready to deepen cooperation with China across the board, and push Kazakhstan-China permanent comprehensive strategic partnership to constantly yield new results.
When meeting with Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Wang Huning said that China and Uzbekistan share common development concepts and are good partners on the path to modernization. Over the past year, President Xi Jinping and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev successfully paid a visit to each other’s country, making a joint announcement to act upon the concept of a community with a shared future at the bilateral level and giving China-Uzbekistan relations a brand-new positioning. China is ready to work with Uzbekistan to implement well the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, adhere to helping each other in adversity, and uphold solidarity and mutual trust to carry out high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. The National Committee of the CPPCC is ready to work with Uzbekistan to constantly promote the building of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future in an in-depth and substantive manner.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that his visit to China this time has yielded fruitful outcomes, further deepening Uzbekistan-China mutual trust and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the eight major steps announced by President Xi Jinping to support the joint pursuit of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and will do careful research on them, and work with China for alignment and implementation, so as to advance innovative development and common prosperity.
