Ambassador of Uzbekistan Jakhongir Ganiyev met with President of the Spanish company Patentes Talgo Carlos Palacio Oriol, UzA reported.
The Spanish side expressed high interest in continuing long-term cooperation with Uzbekistan in railway transport and supplying four more trains and six Talgo-250 high-speed trains.
Carlos Palacio Oriol emphasized that despite the high workload due to orders for the production of 64 trains for Denmark and Germany, Patentes Talgo is ready to ensure the manufacture and supply of 4 sets of “Afrosiab” electric-powered trains for Uzbekistan railway company within the time planned by the Uzbek side.
Financing the order is envisaged by attracting long-term concessional loans from the Spanish FIEM Fund under the government of Spain.
